Happy Rolf's Petting Zoo

We had a great time with the kids at Happy Rolf's. It's always fun to feed the ducks and then climb on the rocks by the lake.

Strong's National Museum of Play

For a long time now, I have wanted to take the children to Strong's National Museum in Rochester, New York. I have two long-time friends who live in that general area, so we planned to meet there with our kiddos for the day. We had SUCH a great time. I already want to go back.

I guess I didn't get a chance to do Tori's hair, but I didn't realize it till I saw these pictures - oh, well. She had fun even if she did have scraggly hair.
Victoria Faith with "Brother" of the Berenstain Bears

Luke's turn. He's the big brother with "Brother"! Groan, I know!

Lily pulled herself closer so she could reach the train but still could barely reach. Poor kiddo. I had pity on her and got her out of her stroller so she could play more comfortably.

Everyone loved the train set.

Not sure what Super Hero Victoria is being, but she sure looks super! :-)

Lily still does that funny face when I say, "Smile!"

Lily wanted to get her picture with this thing. She wanted me to help her get on that seat and then asked for a picture. So funny! Then when she looks at the picture, she says, "Awwww!"

Tori had fun making some princessy crafts.

She even helped Lily to make some things. What a great big sister.

Brotherly Love at its finest.

St. Catharines Splash Pad

We took the children to the Splash Pad in St. Catharines. It was such a beautiful day and they had a really fun time running around in the water, playing on the playground and eating a picnic lunch.

Here is Colin & Lily enjoying some downtime near the playground. The ground had this neat soft rubbery sort of top on it.

This was the neatest swing and really comfortable. Luke is such a good big brother pushing Lily in the swing.

Even I got a turn in the comfy swing. Lily wasn't too happy about having to share it, though. She was enjoying having it all to herself.

AJ got a bright idea to fill this container with water, bend over and stick it on his head then walk around like that. When he felt like it, he lifted up the container and the water all poured over his head and cooled him off!

Our Visit with the Watson Family

A few pictures from our recent visit with our dear friends, the Watson family. It is always fun getting together with them because their four children are very close in age to ours.
Here is Lily with their youngest, John....he is about 2 months younger than Lily.

Lily absolutely LOVES the water, but she's not that into the whole splash pad idea - I guess it's the water falling down that she must not like. When she's in the pool, it's hard to get her to come out! So this is about as close as she got to the water.

The 3 Musketeers!

Tori had so much fun playing with GIRLS!!! Until just recently, we had only boys in our church and school.

The big kids in Sunday school outside. I had them line up alternating Harris & Watson in order of their birth. Victoria is actually older than Sarah, but I wanted it to alternate families.

O Canada 1979

**Don't forget to mute the music on the side of this page before viewing this video!**

Happy Canada Day!

Today Luke cut the grass for the very first time! My baby is growing up!! He did a really good job, too. And he had a great attitude about having to go over it again to get it right. This is a really big thing, because Jeff is very particular about how the grass looks, so he finally trusts Luke enough to let him cut the grass - well, at least the backyard for now! :-) He looks kind of unhappy in this picture, but he wasn't. I just called his name and snapped the picture. Sure do love this kiddo/young man of ours!
Luke and AJ pulling weeds in our vegetable garden. Victoria was helping, but she gets tired of doing it pretty quickly and does more playing than weeding.

Today is Canada Day and we have been busy working around the house and outside. Tonight we are meeting some friends and going to the lake to watch fireworks! Happy birthday to Canada!
