The Boys and Their New Dirt Bugs

A few months ago, Luke and AJ got Dirt Bugs. They're like dirt bikes but are smaller with thicker tires. After much training on their use and reading and re-reading the instruction booklet, today they finally got to ride them.

My parents took them this afternoon to get safety helmets and goggles. The boys had so much fun because they were finally getting to actually ride them. I think Jeff had an even bigger smile on his face than the boys did. He was so glad to be able to see them have so much fun. As of the time we left this afternoon, there hadn't been any accidents, so that's good! My mom will be bringing the kids home later this evening, so we'll see then if there are any bumps and scrapes!!

Victoria had fun watching, too. She didn't seem to feel the least bit left out, so that's good!

AJ's 8th Birthday

AJ was so excited to turn 8 years old on Sunday. He FINALLY gets to ride in the van without his booster seat. The kids always get to choose their supper meal on their birthdays. I always make homemade pizza on pitas after church on Sunday nights, so AJ asked if we could get Volcano's Pizza instead. Everyone loved it!
My mom and dad came over last night to celebrate and we had cake and ice cream! My baby boy is not a baby anymore!!

Spring?

Last night it started snowing and by the looks of things this morning hasn't stopped since. Just last week we had such a beautiful warm, sunny day that I let the kids do their schoolwork outside. Victoria was even barefoot. Today it looks like Christmas out there! I had so many of my spring flowers starting to come up. Now they're all covered in snow. It's suppose to warm up some tomorrrow, but I hope they aren't all frozen.

The snow is so pretty, but just not very appreciated at this time of year. Even the kids frowned when they looked out the window this morning! By Saturday, it's suppose to be 50 degrees and sunny, so that's good!
