New Family Picture

For some strange reason AJ does not seem capable of smiling normally for a picture lately. Oh, well. I guess it shows his unique personality.

This was taken before church on Sunday night. The boys are wearing their new suits that they got from Uncle Herb for Christmas and Victoria is loving her curls (thanks to wearing sponge rollers all the night before!)

Wireless Internet

I now am able to go online in the comfort of basically anywhere in my house. Thank you to Cameron Cook who got everything hooked up and working so well.

This morning, my mom, Luke, AJ, Victoria and I took off to cross the border into Niagara Falls, NY, to do some shopping. The line at the border wasn't too bad, but busier than normal. I think we probably waited about 10 minutes till it was our turn to talk to the customs officer.

We went to the post office to check the mail first. The children were very excited to see a package from Aunt Jody. They weren't thrilled with the fact that they had to wait until we got home to open it, though. Then we went to Dollar Tree and picked up a few things. My mom got some Christmasy things for half price. (She's such a great shopper!) After that was Wal-Mart (of course) -- no Weight Watchers bagels for Jeff, though. It's rare that they have them, but I tried. I got some more white lights for my tree for next year (50% off - of course!). After Wal-Mart was the most exciting stop of the day for the children -- Wendy's! The the boring stop (but main reason for going) - Aldi's. Got stocked up on low-fat ice cream sandwiches for Jeff and lots of other good stuff to eat! Then we headed home.

I didn't have to wait behind even one person at the border on the Canadian side. YEA!

The Cook's brought pizza over (Yum! Yum!) No one complained about supper tonight!! I've been on my computer since the Cook's left at about 9:15pm and it's now 11:20, so I think I will call it a night. I got a new family picture taken at church last night, but the camera isn't close by, so I'll have to post it later.

I hope I can keep up with this...... Good night, sleep tight, may all your dreams come true......

Just for Aunt Jennifer

I love you to Aunt Jennifer from AJ! He just loves his new camera that you sent him. He has been taking pictures non-stop since Christmas Day. Victoria is playing with her microphone right now. I think I'm going to have to ask her to turn down the volume, though. :-)

Luke, AJ and Victoria

Here's a picture of them from this morning. You can't really see the boys' new suits. I'll have to take a better picture. Tori loved her curls, though!

After church this morning....

We've been having very windy weather here today. Just as we got home from church this morning, the lights blinked once and then blinked again and went out. The power was only out for a few minutes, but of course the kids thought it was wonderfully exciting. They were actually a bit disappointed when the lights came back on.

Since I started making lunch when the power was out, I just grabbed whatever I could find that didn't need electricity to make. So they had chicken noodles (Sidekicks), mixed fruit (leftover from Christmas breakfast), a tomato/basil rice cake and some chocolate covered pretzels. When I called the kids for lunch, they asked the predictable question, "What are we eating?" And I gave my normal response, "Food!" Luke went to his spot and just looked at his plate. After a few seconds, he said in a voice that sounded surprised, "I like everything on my plate!" :-) He has become an increasingly picky eater, so that was unusual coming from him.

The boys wore their new suits they got from Christmas this morning. I had to hem the pants and the sleeves on the jackets for both boys. Not a chore I love, but they sure looked nice. Even Tori had sponge rollers in her hair last night, so she looked pretty with curls this morning.
