This is Olivia and me in the nursery last night.
A quick ride on the horsey at the mall. That poor horse. I think it would like to retire after carrying all those kids (actually just Victoria rode with Olivia for a second and then she got off!) :-)
Olivia tried on Daddy's slippers.....
Our four precious children at the Remembrance Day service at the Welland Legion.
Yeehaw!!! Now this horsey is going to be reeeeeeally tired! :-)
Pretty Olivia!
Our oldest and youngest kiddos.
Olivia with her new buddy Carter. Olivia gave Carter a kiss on Sunday and then he said that since she did that, that he was going to have to marry her now! :-)
We sure are enjoying getting to know Olivia better. She is such a sweetie and is fitting very well into our family.

Exciting News
Sunday, October 16th, 2011
We have some exciting news in our family that we are thrilled to be able to share with you. I'm sure you remember the fact that for 19 months we had a little baby girl living with us starting when she was 5-months-old in January of 2009 until 2 weeks after her 2nd birthday in August of 2010. The plan was to adopt this little girl, but the birth parents backed out when the time came to sign the consent papers. Understandably our family was devastated. We had lost a very special person in our family. As the months went on, we continued to grieve and console each other. Our Lord & His Word were great comforts to us during this time. By the time January of 2011 rolled around we started to think that maybe the Lord's will in all of this was that we open our home to a different little child who needed a home. We were fully approved to adopt, but our file had been closed with the previous adoption having fallen through. In February, we called the adoption department of Family & Children Services and requested that our file be reopened. Our hearts have healed, though we will never forget the sweet child that spent 19 months in our home and still think about her every day, and we are excited about the prospect of providing a good home for a child in need.
On Friday, October 14th at around 2:40 p.m. we got the call for which we had been waiting. There is a child available for adoption that the adoption team thinks would be a good fit for our family. We will be going in tomorrow to get some more information and possibly meet the child. Please pray for God's will to be done in this situation. We are excited and nervous all at the same time. I will keep you updated as things progress!!!

Painted Toenails & Another Sunset
No week at the cottage would be complete without a
pedicure for the girls!
Victoria's right foot......
Victoria's left foot.....
Both of Victoria's cute little feet....
My foot....
I cannot begin to describe the awe I have for our amazing God
when I look at the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.
"Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee,
How great thou art, How great thou art."

the fire all different colours - so neat!
The boys reading before church this morning.
Tori wanted her picture with the fire, but we couldn't see
her without the flash on the camera. It looked a lot neater
in person, but she still is such a little cutie pie!

Everyone having some quiet time this morning. We leave to go home tomorrow evening. We have had a most wonderful time away. We have laughed, had wonderful times of family devotions reading the Bible together, played games, played in the lake, gone for drives in the back roads, enjoyed s'mores by the fire, gone on a jet boat ride, saw sunken ships, had sparklers, eaten lots of yummy healthy and not-so-healthy food, read books, sang lots of songs together, found some of God's little creatures (mostly Tori), taken LOTS of pictures, went to a lighthouse, got ice cream, went to the candle shop, played horseshoes, played catch, Luke lost a tooth!, and probably a lot of other fun things that I just can't think of at this moment.
